"From the Ashes" is inspired by the destruction of the 2016 wildfires followed the resislience of the communtiy and the land. This is a lookout spot from a trail I often run, over the years I have a collected several pictures of the same location throught the seasons and years. I have found a calmness in watching the earth slowly heal itself. Even in lifeless ashes new growth will appear, a reminder that there is no pain we are unable to heal from in time.
